Season review:

Our seasons consist of 5 regular season meets held on successive Saturdays, culminating with the Champ Series meets held at the end of the regular season for swimmers meeting CCSL’s challenging Champ and Reserve times.  Specific practice schedules, meet schedules, and meet locations can be found in our team handbook and on the website.

Eligibility requirements:

A swimmer must be between 5 and 18 years old as of May 1 and must swim the following distances without holding onto the sides of the pool or touching the bottom until required length is completed:

  • Age 8 and under – One stroke, 25 yards

  • Age 9 and up – Two strokes, 50 yards each

Equipment needs:

  • Swimsuit Requirements: Team swimsuits are not mandatory, but for your convenience, the team swimsuit will be available for sale two separate times at our pool during the beginning weeks of the swim season.  A-Gleam is our swimsuit supplier, so families can also purchase equipment directly from their store if more convenient.  (Information on SwimSuit sales.)

    • Girls - Wear one-piece, competition style swimsuits to all swim meets. We recommend the same style suit for practice sessions to get swimmer used to fit.

    • Boys - Wear competition swimsuits to all swim meets. Cut-off's or similar attire will not be permitted at swim meets or practice.

  • Caps and Goggles:  Neither caps nor goggles are mandatory, but you will find that both improve performance are strongly encouraged.

    • Caps - for both boys and girls help reduce the effects of chlorine on hair. Caps are effective in reducing drag in the water.

    • Goggles - most swimmers use goggles. They are very effective in eliminating eye irritation caused by chlorine.

Caps for both girls and boys reduce drag in the water to improve performance, and goggles enable swimmers to see without irritating eyes.  Caps will be available to purchase through registration and during season.

  • T- Shirts: A team t-shirt will be provided to all swimmers and is included in the registration fee.  Parents and siblings will be given an opportunity to purchase a t-shirt through registration.
